Being in the heart of the mediterranean sea, Malta's climate falls very much into the category of warm and sunny. Summers in Malta tend to be very dry and hot with up to 12 hours of sunshine daily. The hottest months here are July and August where temperatures can easily exceed 35°C. In the winter months temperatures generally fall to between 14 to 18°C with an average of 5-6 hours of sunshine daily.

As with all hot climates it is advisable to excercise caution in these types of climates. High factor sun-creams and lots of drinking water are the order of the day so that you can fully enjoy your Maltese experience.
