A sun holiday would not be quite complete without a visit to the local beach. In both Malta and Gozo you will find beaches to suit your needs. With golden sands and the enticing crystal clear mediterranean waters its not hard to see what they are popular with both locals and tourists alike. There are many other beaches scattered throughout Malta and Gozo.

The best beaches are located in the northern part of Malta itself. Most beaches are clean and maintained. Paddle boats can be hired at beaches such as Mellieha Bay, Ghajn Tuffieha Bay and Golden Bay.
The Blue Lagoon
Located around the island of Comino between Malta and Gozo the Blue Lagoon is one of the most beautiful places in the Maltese islands to relax and soak up the sun. The Blue Lagoons's crystal clear waters and white sands are very popular among swimmers, snorkellers and divers alike. There are regular excusrions to the island of Comino each day from Malta and Gozo so it's very easy to get there. the only problem is once your there you may not want to come back.
Golden Bay
This is one of three beaches which are located next to each other in this area, the others being Gnejna Bay and Ghajn Tuffieha.
Ramla Bay
Situated on the tranquil isle of Gozo, this is an excellent unspoilt beach set in a beautiful valley. The colour of the sand has given this beach it's name as Ramla (il-Hamra) which literally means red beach.
Ghajn Tuffieha
Located in the north east of the island, this is one of Malta's best beaches. Ghajn Tuffieha is a great place for snorkelling or just having a splash around. Getting to the beach requires descending a flight of steps, up to 180 approx. but we think it's worth the hike. What better way to brush away the hot summers day than a cool dip in the mediterranean at Ghajn Tuffieha.
