Beaches In Malta

A sun holiday would not be quite complete without a visit to the local beach. In both Malta and Gozo you will find beaches to suit your needs. With golden sands and the enticing crystal clear mediterranean waters its not hard to see what they are popular with both locals and tourists alike.
The Blue Lagoon Golden Bay
The Blue Lagoon, Malta Golden Bay, Malta
One of the most beautiful places in the Maltese islands. The Blue Lagoon's crystal clear waters and white sands are stunning to say the least. This is one of three beaches which are located next to each other in this area, the others being Gnejna Bay and Ghajn Tuffieha.

Ramla Bay Ghajn Tuffieha Bay
Ramla Bay, Gozo Ghajn Tuffieha, Malta
Situated on the tranquil isle of Gozo, this is an excellent unspoilt beach set in a beautiful valley. The colour of the sand has given this beach it's name as Ramla (il-Hamra) which literally means red beach. Located in the north east of the island, this is one of Malta's best beaches. Great for snorkelling or just having a
splash around. Getting here requires decending a flight of steps, up to 180 approx. We think it's worth the hike though !
There are many other beaches scattered throughout Malta and Gozo. The best beaches are located in the northern part of Malta itself. Most beaches are clean and maintained. Paddle boats can be hired at beaches such as Mellieha Bay, Ghajn Tuffieha Bay and Golden Bay.

Other beaches around Malta and Gozo include:
